Work Experience
Marie Eason Klatt is an Occupational Therapist with over 35 years of clinical experience. Her clinical practice primarily focused on the rehabilitation of individuals of all ages who have functional impairments of the hand and upper limb. She held certification as hand therapist through the Hand Therapy Certification Commission from 1998 until 2023. She recently retired as the Manager of Collaborative Practice and Education at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Unity Health in Toronto, Canada.

Professional Experience
Marie holds an Adjunct appointment with the Department of Family and Community Medicine, Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto as a lecturer. She also holds an Affiliate Scientist appointment with the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute, Unity Health Toronto. She has extensive healthcare regulatory experience at the provincial level in Canada Marie was an elected, professional member of the Council of the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario for 9 years and chaired various committees over that time including one term as President. In addition, she was a member of the Re-certification Committee of the Hand Therapy Certification Commission for 12 years.
Marie served as the Canadian Delegate for IFSHT for 10 years and completed a three-year term as the IFSHT By-laws Committee Chair. Marie served as President of the Canadian Society of Hand Therapists from 2017 – 2021.

Publications
Marie has presented both nationally and internationally at peer reviewed conferences in the areas of health practitioner education and hand /upper limb rehabilitation.
