IFSHT/IFSSH Triennial Congress Travel Grant

IFSHT has limited designated funds available to provide partial financial support for therapists to attend the IFSHT Triennial Congress.  Therapists from countries with limited resources and those who are presenting at the congress are given priority.  Applications for the IFSHT/IFSSH Triennial Congress Travel Bursary may be obtained from the IFSHT Secretary General (secretarygeneral@ifsht.org) and must be submitted to the IFSHT Secretary General no later than 6 months prior to the Triennial Congress. Funding of this award is through money raised at our previous triennial congress silent auction to help sponsor therapists to attend the next triennial congress.  Additional funding is through donated funds.  All funds received will be used to help sponsor therapists to attend the next triennial congress.  All donations to this award will be fully acknowledged at the triennial meeting and also acknowledged on the website (unless specifically requested as an anonymous donation).

2010 - IFSHT/IFSSH Triennial Congress Travel Grant

     Recipients: 10 therapists (1 each from Argentina, Australia, and the Netherlands and 2 each from Brazil, India, and the United Kingdom) received partial funding to assist with their travel expenses to attend and present at the triennial congress in Orlando, Florida in June of 2010.

     Funding:  Thank you to the following groups for providing donations to fund this program for 2010.  The silent auction at the IFSHT Triennial Congress in Sydney, Australia raised $4500.  The International Federation of Societies for Hand Surgery (IFSSH) donated $3000 towards this award and an additional $1500 was raised through generous donations from anonymous donors as well as the American Society of Hand Therapy (ASHT) Michigan, Missouri, and Texas State Chapters.
