International Teaching Needs
In 2017, we surveyed some of our newer member societies to ask about any training needs they currently have to assist in the development of hand therapy skills and knowledge in their country. The following countries have responded with details of their learning needs. IFSHT has funds available to support a therapist from a member country who wishes to provide training to these countries. The International Travel Grant ($1,500 for each award) is available to offset the expenses incurred. Note, that there are no funds available for teaching; it needs to be done on a voluntary, unpaid, basis.
Applications are made by the member country (requesting or hosting), the visiting therapist and the therapist who will provide the training. See International Teaching Grant Page for the application form.
If you are interested in providing this training, please contact the secretary general on secretarygeneral@ifsht.org who will put you in touch with the requesting country. IFSHT takes no responsibility for the quality of the teaching and it is up to the requesting country to ensure it will be of the quality they require.
